The CAPTURE Project has engaged the Towards Evidence-Informed Practice (TEIP) Project, a program of the Ontario Public Health Association, to learn about practitioners’ evaluation and evidence needs.
Since 2005, TEIP has worked directly with health promotion practitioners and managers in delivering onsite evaluation and evidence-based practice workshops and follow-up support activities. To date, more than 100 practitioners have participated in TEIP training, many of whom are still connected with the TEIP Project.
Dayna Albert, Manager at TEIP, will develop and pilot test a practitioner survey and focus group protocol that will enable CAPTURE to develop platform features, functionalities and supports that will best meet the needs of health promotion practitioners.
TEIP is also developing contacts with public health organizations and individuals in each province and territory in order to implement the survey nationwide and conduct focus groups in selected communities.
We will share more details of our work with TEIP as it unfolds in the coming months.
